finally, the Philippine department of foreign affairs and the New York embassy got their acts straightened out and granted me, a natural-born citizen of the Philippines, the privilege of renewing my passport. whoooopeeeee.
it seems like i need to produce the freaking clearance document that says i am absolved of all obligations stemming from my time as a government scholar, and i am in no way in any shape or form a liability or suspicious enough to be on this stupid 'lookout list' as their database shows. hopefully within five years, that database gets straightened out and puts me in the clear so i don't have to go through this zarzuella in 2014.
or maybe i should become a citizen of another country eh?
this doesn't absolve you of your incompetence, people. i still need the reason(s) why i was put on this list, and who was/were responsible for it. i have a couple of fists to give them.
