jolliberrycostly

very late post:

finally managed to get inside the new Jollibee in Queens, after a failed attempt. and of course, what your eyes see drives your appetite (read: takaw-mata)

so let's see: that's 3 cheeseyumburgers, a bucket of Chickenjoy, 3 spaghettis, a Peach Mango pie, and drinks. before you think am some kind of glutton, there were three of us.

so after the (burp) chowdown, what's the verdict? is it worth it?

Pros: only if you're really hungry.
Cons: y'know, for all of that, i think $45 was pushing it. that rounds up to $15 per head, and i think i can get the same for less at McDonalds. if we're going by taste, well, there's that slight hint of Manila, although the chickens here are not the same, hence the Chickenjoy left me wanting. of course, you'll never get sweet spaghetti (we saw a foreign patron actually putting salt on it) at the local McDonald's.

and then, let's just say, when i got home, i kinda had to have a reaaaaaaaaally long meeting with the President (if you catch my drift). i blame Jollibee and whatever they put in the food.

it will probably be awhile before i work up the desire to really have a Champ (now known on these shores as "Heavyweight". ugh. sounds like something cooked up by Manny Pacquaio's greedy, money-grubbing camp).

oh, well, at least i have a Jolli-bucket.
